Visa/Entry Permit to travel to Bhutan

Arranging your travel to Bhutan is not difficult as you assume. Once you get in touch with any of the local tour operators, you will be advised to produce documents necessary to process your visas and your travel can be arranged within few days including your visas, Drukair flights, hotels, guides, transport and other logistics.

Indian nationals can obtain a visa at the port of entry on producing a valid passport with a minimum of 6 month validity (Indian nationals may also use their Voters Identity Card (VIC)). And also now even you can make online permits too.

Bhutan visas/Permit can be arranged through any of the tour operators in Bhutan or even you can process by your self trhough web link (visit.doi.gov.bt)

As per the government regulations, you are required to make full payment of Sustainable Development Fees, of USD 200 per night per person to government along with visa fee of US $ 40 per person while processing the permit. It normally takes 5 working days to clear your visas.

The Bhutan visa confirmation letter will be sent to you in advance and your actual Bhutan visas will be stamped on your passports on arrival to Bhutan.

For the visa application process, you will have to send scanned copies of your passport, Passport size Photograph, and scan copy of Travel Insurance.
