Brief Background
Chedepji chorten is just by the roadside as when we drive towards Trongsa from Wangdue. It's in the Nepali style that's with painted eyes on the four cardinal points.
It was constructed in the first half of the 18th century by Lam Shida to pin down the demon who is terrorizing the inhabitants of this valley. At this place, you can also see a long Mani wall and also a stupa in Bhutanese style which was constructed by Royal Grand Mother Ashi Kesang Choden in 1982.
